QHP Index

About QHP Index, and where every figure comes from

This site reproduces what the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services publishes about the health plans sold on HealthCare.gov, arranged by the county you live in. It sells nothing, it is paid by nobody, and it cannot enrol you.

What it is not

The 30 states, and the 21 that are missing

CMS publishes one machine-readable file covering every plan sold through HealthCare.gov. That is 30 states and 2,055 counties — about two thirds of everyone who buys marketplace coverage, because Texas and Florida are among them.

The other 21 states run their own exchange and publish nothing equivalent: California posts its county rates as a PDF, and most publish nothing at all. This site does not guess at them. Each has a page naming its marketplace and linking to it, which is the only honest thing to put there.

Where the figures come from

Both are works of the United States federal government and are in the public domain. Neither required a key, a login or an agreement.

The rules this site follows

When you can actually enrol

Open enrollment for 2026 coverage runs 1 November 2025 to 15 January 2026 in most states. Outside that window you need a qualifying life event — losing other coverage, moving, marrying, having a child — to enrol.
